Our story

 

Aspia has always been on a growth journey. We are continuously expanding our presence within Sweden and simultaneously establishing ourselves internationally through Aspia Group. A journey towards the goal of enabling even closer relationships with our clients as the leading business partner in the Nordic region.

But every journey starts somewhere. For us it begins in 2018, when IK Partners acquire PWC's accounting and payroll management business, forming Aspia AB. In the same year, we strengthen our presence in the Nordic region by acquiring KPMG's accounting section and the payroll specialist DLN Payroll Services.

The year after we strengthen our business offering further by acquiring Skeppsbron Skatt, the country’s leading independent tax consultancy firm. With the strongest tax offering on the market, established accounting, payroll and interim services and a Nordic presence in the portfolio, we are ready to go to market.

In 2023 through the acquisition of Pure Act we enhance our sustainability reporting services with new expertise and an innovative way of working. During the same year we expand further through a series of acquisitions in the Norwegian market. At the end of the year IK Partners sells Aspia to the international investment company Vitruvian Partners, who becomes the new majority owner and a support on the ongoing international expansion.

In June of 2024, we complete the largest acquisition in our relatively short history, acquiring Accountor's outsourcing business and connecting to their long history. Accountor was founded in Finland in the late 1980s and has since established themself in both the Nordic region and Europe. With this acquisition, we cement ourselves as the leading business partner in the Nordic region.
